
The North Manchester Energy Efficiency Advice Centre (EEAC) is a part of a
network of 52 EEAC's around the UK set up by the Energy Saving Trust to give
free, bespoke and impartial advice to customers. We work in partnership with
the four Local Authorities of Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale and Bury.
We promote energy efficiency within the domestic sector and encourage
home owners to carry out energy efficient measures in the home to reduce the
amount of energy being lost and, therefore, save money on their fuel bills.

The EEAC can also send out Home Energy Checks (HEC) so that the homeowner
can carry out an audit on their property. This HEC, when returned
to our office, is entered onto a database that generates a report outlining
We work closely with community groups across the boroughs of Bolton, Bury, Oldham and Rochdale and give presentations on a regular basis on energy efficiency and grants and schemes that are available. We hold events in shopping centres where we give information and advice and, where appropriate, refer people to other schemes. On a daily basis the EEAC deals with a number of general enquiries and we are able to put the customer in contact with the appropriate person, energy supplier or company.
