Bolton at Home is committed to exploring flexible working practices within the workforce, both for existing staff and new recruits. Bolton at Home’s Work-life balance policy outlines options available to employees including:
Flexible working is available to the majority of employees within Bolton at Home. Following successful recruitment, eligibility is confirmed in the appointment letter.
All employees can join the contributory pension scheme, if they wish to do so. Pensions are paid direct from the employee’s monthly salary at a rate of 6%, with Bolton at Home contributing an agreed annual percentage.
The Bolton & District Hospital Saturday Healthcare scheme is available with immediate benefit to all Bolton at Home employees. The scheme offers affordable help with everyday healthcare costs and payments can be made direct from the employee’s salary on a monthly basis.
Bolton at Home shares the concerns about balancing working life with the demands made on parents, which is why we have introduced the Childcare Vouchers scheme. The scheme offers help towards saving money on childcare costs while you are at work. Childcare Vouchers are exempt from Tax and National Insurance for up to £55 a week and payments can be made direct from the employee’s salary. If both parents work for Bolton at Home or Bolton MBC and participate, the savings can be doubled!
To enhance learning and development, Bolton at Home has
introduced the first phase of the ‘Targeting Change’ programme,
which provides national accreditation for all staff attending a
series of essential skills and knowledge sessions. The sessions are
designed to embrace Bolton at Home’s values and drive forward
cultural change.
The second stage of the programme will provide opportunities for
leadership, personal development and team working.
