Positive Action Traineeships in Housing (PATH)
Graduate traineeships
Bolton at Home, along with many other organisations, have partnered with
ACE (Achieving Construction Excellence) to recruit Modern Apprentices each
year.
Applications are usually taken between February and March. If you apply to
become an Apprentice you are applying to ACE, not a specific organisation
and the recruitment process will determine which partner organisation you
will work for. Therefore, you will not necessarily work for Bolton at Home.
Bolton at Home recruits 12 apprentices through ACE each year and there are 6

Bolton at Home, in partnership with Bolton MBC offers a Positive Action
Training Programme each year (Under sections 37 and 38 Race Relations Act
1976). The programme is for young people of Asian backgrounds who have been
identified as under represented in the Social Housing Sector as per 2001
census categories.
The aim of the programme is to help young Asian people in Bolton achieve a
recognised qualification; develop skills and gain experience and confidence
to be better equipped to compete in securing permanent employment.
We offer 8 PATH Traineeships each year:
6 one year fixed term - providing training towards an NVQ in Business
Administration or Customer Care. To qualify to apply for one of these
traineeships you must be:
2 two years fixed term - providing training towards an HNC in Housing. To qualify to apply for one of these traineeships you must be:
Bolton at Home offers a 9 month traineeship each year to a graduate who
is currently studying towards or has obtained a housing related degree. This
takes place within our Housing Services Directorate to give you the most
relevant experience.
Speculative application forms are usually taken between April and May each
year.
